Adwoa Safo Reveals Spiritual Attacks During First Parliamentary Bid — Credits Father Apostle Safo For Divine Protection

Former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has opened up about a series of spiritual attacks she allegedly endured during her initial journey into politics. In a video circulating on social media and monitored by GhanaWeb, Adwoa Safo shared a chilling account of how individuals attempted to use rituals to block her path to political leadership.

According to her, these unnamed persons went to great lengths — including using her pictures and collecting sand from her footprints — with the intention of spiritually sabotaging her aspirations. She revealed that these rituals were meant to call her spirit and harm her physically and spiritually.

“During my first parliamentary election contest in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency, some individuals took my picture and collected sand from my footprints to use in a sacred ritual,” she disclosed.

She noted that these attempts, though spiritually potent, failed miserably due to the divine intervention and spiritual covering provided by her father, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, the revered founder of the Kantanka Group and Christ Reformed Church.

“However, whenever they attempted to call out my spirit to cause harm, my father would appear to protect me.”

In a striking revelation, Adwoa Safo recounted that ritualists were left baffled when her image transformed during their attempts. She claimed that at a point, they could no longer see her but rather a man, believed to be her father, whenever they called out her name.

“It got to a point when the ritualist saw my picture, they said it was a man. When they mentioned my name, he [the spiritualist] told them to never mention that name again,” she said.
“As for my father, I don’t even know how to thank him.”

Adwoa Safo’s story highlights the intersection between spirituality and politics in Ghana, where many political figures have spoken out about the spiritual battles they face behind the scenes. Her confession adds to a long-standing narrative that political aspirations in Ghana often go beyond campaigns and ballots — they may also involve spiritual fortitude and protection.

Since losing her parliamentary seat in the 2024 General Elections, Adwoa Safo has embarked on multiple media tours to reflect on her time in office, her personal battles, and her relationship with the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Her candid revelations, including this recent spiritual account, have sparked conversations and even created friction within the NPP, with some party members criticizing her public commentary.
