The controversy began after reports surfaced suggesting that an air ambulance and a private jet had remained in Ghana for several days, sparking suspicions about their purpose and the cargo they carried. Ntim Fordjour hinted that the aircraft might have been involved in drug trafficking or money laundering, calling on authorities to disclose the contents of the planes.

In response, Felix Kwakye Ofosu issued a bold challenge while speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show.
He declared:

If Ntim Fordjour is able to show you any evidence of a cocaine haul, I will resign from government that very day.

The Minister dismissed the accusations as completely baseless, accusing Fordjour of fabricating the story without a shred of evidence.

“I’m telling you that he has nothing to show; he is lying, and that is why he cannot tell you anything,” Ofosu insisted.

He went further to mock the credibility of the allegation, saying:

“Even my ten-year-old daughter wouldn’t believe these lies peddled by Rev Ntim Fordjour.”

The comments reflect the minister’s frustration with what he describes as politically motivated falsehoods, meant to discredit the government without offering the public any factual basis.

Ofosu urged Ghanaians not to fall for “sensationalism and baseless propaganda” but to focus on facts and credible sources of information. He emphasized that no government official or security body had confirmed any such drug-related incident involving the aircraft in question, and that such serious claims should be backed by proper evidence before being aired publicly.

The Communications Minister also underscored the importance of responsible public discourse, warning that reckless accusations could harm Ghana’s international reputation and undermine public trust in democratic institutions.

Meanwhile, Ntim Fordjour has yet to produce any tangible proof to support his allegations. There has been no official comment from security agencies regarding an ongoing investigation into the aircraft.
